Perfect Pearls and Embossing

For this technique we used the stamp SD1113 Magnolia Border from Technique Junkies. By the way all new release stamps are 15% off through May 8! You can still get 10% off using my coupon code TJ10Tracy on everything else except the Gotta Have It All Bundles which are already discounted for you.

I started out with a piece of Navy card stock. You want to use a very dark color with this technique so the Perfect Pearls show up nicely!

I created a jig/guide in my stamping platform because I would be stamping over the finished colored project. I placed the card stock and the stamp in my stamping platform and then stamped it out in silver so that I would be able to see the guidelines of where I would "paint." I left the stamp and guide in place. (see video)

Next, I grabbed my WOW Embossing pen and little by little, a couple at a time "colored" the flowers in with the clear embossing pen. I then "painted" over the embossing ink with Perfect Pearls in the Pearl color.  Next, I moved on to the yellow accents with the same process only using a yellow color Perfect Pearls. Finally, I colored the leaves with a green Perfect Pearls using the same process with the embossing pen and then color.

Now that I had the image all colored, I took it back to my stamping platform and lined it up with my guide.  I brushed the entire thing with anti-static powder then used Versamark ink to stamp over where I had stamped before.  I coated with gold embossing powder and embossed with my heat tool. I used a 4 1/2 inch square die to cut out the design.

To finish it off, I created a mat layer with gold cardstock. and then glued both down to a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 white card base. I finished it off with a few sequins and added a Thank You die cut from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!
