I made this vase a couple of years ago. It was made with a paper towel roll and some cardboard for the form then I glued on a lot of paper to create a paper mache vase then I added several coats of plaster of Paris sanding in between each coat. The koi and flowers were done with air dry clay, hand sculpted and added piece by piece. I then painted it with metallic and black acrylic paint and there it sat for 2 years.
Along came Tim Holtz and Ranger Foundry Wax
I knew right away while watching Tim's demo that I had to pick up this vase and add some metal "bling" to it.
